Hear Here takes you on a journey through sound art in Leuven. Fifteen works of art about sound or silence echo in remarkable heritage places in Leuven. On the occasion of KU Leuven’s 600th birthday, this year’s edition turns the spotlights on historic university buildings. With a map in hand, you walk from an empty school, past an imposing chapel, to a medieval water gate. At each site, a sound installation enters into dialogue with the acoustics and architecture. Historical works by great sound pioneers and new creations by Belgian artists are presented. So put on your walking shoes and experience Leuven’s heritage with different eyes and ears. Free of charge and for all ages.
